 - Versatile vertical automatic one-spindle machine drilling beams, plates, tubes and shaped profiles in general for the field of metal constructions and carpentry, ideal for who develops and distributes its own product, suitable for both small to large manufacturer.
- CN machine provided with four controlled axes with brushless servomotor of which two with double position control.
- Automatic material positioning and clamping allow to perform the following operations on the bar:
Through hole - Blind hole - Double hole - Thread - Slot

Drill Unit
- One vertical drilling unit
- ISO40 spindle connection; one spindle includedone
- The drill unit is steadily fixed on a plate sliding up and down with 4 blocks on 3 linear guide ways; the blocks are with rollers in order to increase the rigidity (“Z” Axe)
- The head where the drill unit is fixed, sliding forward and backward with 4 block on 2 linear guide ways (“Y” axe)
- The machine works without coolant water; this system avoids liquid dropping on the floor.
- External lubrication and cooling system of the tool.
- Internal lubrication and cooling system of the tool (just for tools allowing this kind of cooling).
- Standard on the machine the “FMB smart drilling control” (to be selected by the operator). This control prevents the head from entering the piece too deeply so saving the tool from possible breaking and the machine from stress.
- With the option HSC (hydraulic semi-automatic spindle change), the change of the spindle can
be done by pressing a button that locks and unlocks the spindle.

- The drill unit approaches the piece in fast mode
- The extra drill quote is settable
- It is possible to choose between 2 different chips breaking modes; one that stops the feeding just for one second and the other in which the spindle completely gets out from the hole (used above all for deep drillings)

- Piece zero setting performed by a laser system

- 2 vertical pressers not allowing the material to lift up during all the feeding; each presser slides on 2 blocks fixed on 2 linear guides ways
- 2 horizontal clamping vices; each vice slides on 4 blocks fixed on 2 linear guide ways
- 2 extra vertical clamping vices working only during the drill operations; each clamp slides on 1 block fixed on 1 linear guide way
- Piece measurement system; at the beginning of the cycle, the piece is measured and checked if it is in tolerance with the dimension of the programmed piece
- Three different piece origins can be selected. This is necessary for example, when it is important to have the work operation as to the piece centreline; the machine detects the real dimension of the piece and adapts the work operations as to the centre, changing automatically the quotes

- Smaller overall dimensions as to traditional machines with roller tables and  thrust collets
- Unlimited bar length 
- The machine is a mono-bloc unit easy to be moved and installed; compact and therefore of reduced overall.
- Many different types of profiles can be worked, such as beams, angle bars but also tubular, UNP and plates.
- Thanks to the material feeding vices exchange system, it is possible to work on both ends of the bar
- Possibility to drill pieces already cut to degrees by setting beforehand the inclination of the starting cut of the work piece
- With the optional PBPC (Programming by PC) it' s possible to connect the machine directly to its PC (internet connection) and remotely program

Other Features
- Material feeding system by threatened and rectified dragging rollers
- Swarf extractor (see picture no.1), complete of swarf collecting tank

- End material sensor; it checks if the bar end corresponds with what is written in the program

Operation Software features -FMB studied an easy-to-use software, simple to program for the operator. The Interface (PC Windows) is displayed on a 15’’ colour touch screen and consists in tables concerning the workable profiles families (HEA, HEB, IPE, UPN, etc. ) with the most used dimensions for each material (yet, the operator may add further dimensions). -When inserting the work, these immediately appear on the screen in a real time Working cycle -Put the bar on the right side of the machine; it has to be placed before the zero laser and after the loading side vices (vices on the right). -On cycle start, the machine controls the bar dimensions (height and width), advising the operator in case of measure discrepancies. If the operator accepts these discrepancies, the machine will pre-set according to the bar real measures, so avoiding possible collisions and/or possible drilling errors due to the discrepancy between real and theoretic dimensions. -The bar moves forward up to the zero laser, while after reading it moves at work speed. -During the whole bar feeding, vertical pushers (roller type) will be always on to avoid the bar lifts up. -Besides, during the drilling process, vertical jaws increasing the locking force will steadily clamp the piece. It is also possible to disable these jaws directly into the piece programming allowing a considerable saving of time. -Whenever the program provides for holes of different diameter, the machine will drill the holes in sequence respecting the order of piece compilation. The tool has to be changed by the operator and will be reported at the appropriate time on the control panel. -It may happen that after a working cycle, the bar is to be cut. To facilitate this process, the drilling machine program provides the “blade thickness” management.This system automatically inserts among the different programmed pieces.
